As someone who was born on the island of Trinidad and immigrated to the US as a child, I have been on a path of self-discovery since I could remember. Growing up, I never felt like I fit in, like I was stuck between two worlds, caught up in the whirlwind of the ever-changing seasons of life. After enduring the pain of abandonment, abuse, and shame, it’s time to break the cycle.
